Saudi Aramco authorities said that with effect from October 1, the sale of 380 cst products will be replaced by the sale of 180 cst fuel at the ports of
Dammam,
Ras Tanura and
Jubail.
According to an official statement, the offered products will be subject to
Saudi Aramco's typical specifications, available on request, and terms and conditions will also remain the same.
Aramco had in June temporarily stopped the sale of 180 cst fuel at ports in the Gulf ports, but continued selling the product at the Red Sea port of
Jeddah.
Authorities were not able to give a clear reason for the temporary suspension of 180 cst bunker fuel supply, although reports have cited sources blaming it on poor sales of the product.
During the 180 cst suspension period,
Saudi Aramco had been producing and selling only 380 cst products from its Gulf refineries.
