Labco, a UK-baed sales agent for Saudi bunker supplier and trader Bakri International Energy Co Ltd (Bakri), informed Bunkerworld today that repairs to Bakri's MGO tank at Yanbu on the Saudi Red Sea coast has finally been completed.

As a consequence, they are able to start supplying MGO from the 6th December 2003, Labco said. The pipeline has been out of commission for several months. Bakri offers supply of IFO380 at Yanbu, and can now resume MGO deliveries.

Bakri recently announced that the company now welcomes enquiries for blended products in the Saudi Red Sea port of Jeddah. Products generally offered in Jeddah are 380cst, 180cst and MGO, but Labco was advised in October this year that Bakri now also offers supply of 150cst, 120cst, 100cst, 80cst, 60cst, 40cst and 30cst.

To achieve the correct grade in the 150cst to 30cst range, the company will use a percentage of 180cst and a percentage of MGO, which will be blended together onboard the supply tanker. The only stipulation is that Bakri will only supply vessels requiring a minimum of 500 metric tonnes, Labco said. The price is calculated according to the ratio of the quantity of 180cst and MGO in the mix.
